We Are a Listening Venue
The room is set up for music rather than around it. That's why BJP is one of the most beloved venues in Canada for touring musicians and home to a loyal community looking to experience music, not just listen to it.
We also pay for it. BJP pays one of the highest performance fees of any club in North America and we say that plainly because the alternative in this country is a musician quietly subsidizing your evening while being unable to make a living wage.

Gender Parity Is a Booking Decision
BJP is committed to fair performance fees and to gender parity and diversity in programming, and we treat that as something you do rather than something you say. It shows up in who we book for the season, in the poster we made with CADME, and in the education work we support.

Everything around the music is paid for by people who decided this should exist: the piano tuning, the insurance, the instrument and venue rental, the dinner, the transportation, and the front-of-house labour.
Nica's Circle
$100 a year, or $175 for a household of up to four, running August 1 to July 31. Members get 48 hours early access to ticket sales for regular season concerts, which is how most people get into the shows that sell out. Nica's Circle is not eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

Donations to the BJP Music Foundation are receipted and go straight to concerts and to the artists who play them. Donor Circles begin at $250 and do not include early ticket access, which stays with Nica's Circle.
