The BJP Webinar Series

Jazz education online, through the pandemic.

The Story

When the pandemic closed our doors, BJP took jazz education online. Starting in October 2020, musicians and educators led a series of Sunday afternoon webinars on Zoom, beginning with a four-part series from JUNO-nominated bassist and educator Jodi Proznick.

Sessions covered the great bassists, pianists, trumpeters, drummers and vocalists, the roots of the blues, Canadian jazz couples and a deep listen to Oscar Peterson’s Night Train. FACTOR supported the educational webinars.

Four of the sessions were recorded, and they are free to watch here.
